Wireless m-bus repeaters

Wireless m-bus repeater 230Vac

Wireless m-bus repeaters are intended to re-transmit data from wireless m-bus meters or sensors. This is often needed inside big buildings, where meters are with wireless m-bus. Since wireless m-bus is on 868MHz frequency it is dependant on distance and obstacles. Usually around 300-400 meters direct view are not a problem, but building materials and sensors/meters position are also very important. In order to use only one main collecting concentrator in bigger buildings user must use signal repetitors. That is what our repeater do - re-transmit with full power possible all meters that are in range. Our repeaters do not change received telegrams except setting 'repeat' bit in status byte. There is no hop limit or meter number limit. Basically device is ready to work immediately after powered. But if user wants to limit or filter repeated meters - this also can be done, because our repeater has smart functions - like filtering due to medium measured, manufacturer or special list of IDs.
Our WMBRP repeaters work by default in mode T, but of course can be set to modes S and C without a problem. Setting is through the air, using wireless master device and our service software.

Normal mode of operation

Device start to work immediately after powered. It transmits each new telegram received by the air, without delay. So in most cases WMBRP does not need any set up. In some cases user may want to limit meters re-transmitted or change repeater mode. Then he can also make some sophisitcated settings via wireless m-bus device (like WMR-IoT) and out free service software. This can be in most cases filtering incoming telegrams by medium, manufacturer or ID numbers.

Device is mounted on a wall and is intended for indoor use. For outdoor use better to use repeaters with IP67 or more. General consumption of the device is very small, so it does not need anything special as power source. As cable dimensions - we usually use 2x0.75mm2 cable.
